2010 AAAG Symposium
DM WARREN - APRIL 23, 2010
The 2010 AAAG symposium, "Anthropological genetics in the genomic era:  Challenges, opportunities, and directions," took place on April 17th in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in conjunction with the annual meeting of the AAPA.  The symposium was well attended and was a great success.  Special thanks to the organizers, Lorena Havill and Graciela Cabana, for a job very well done.  Please see the symposium program for more information on the talks.

2010 Elections Results

The AAAG congratulates our newly elected officers: Lorena Havill of the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research (President), Graciela Cabana of the University of Tennessee (Vice President), Leslea Hlusko of the University of California, Berkeley (Executive Committee), Connie Mulligan of the University of Florida (Executive Committee), and Geoff Hayes of Northwestern (Executive Committee).  We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our officers who completed their terms in 2010, especially Richard Sherwood of Wright State University (President, 2009-2010).

2009 AAAG Symposium and Business Meeting
DM WARREN - APRIL 13, 2009

The 2009 meeting of the AAAG took place in Chicago on April 3, in conjunction with the annual meetings of the American Association of Physical Anthropologists and the Human Biology Association.  The symposium was very successful!  All of the talks were to a packed house and were well received.  Very special thanks go to all of the symposium participants, and to the session co-organizers, Richard J. Sherwood and Dana L. Duren, both of the Lifespan Health Research Center, Boonshoft School of Medicine, Wright State University.  There will be more information on the symposium and the student prize winners shortly.
